Australian Motorcycle Search and Rescue

AMSAR volunteers are skilled riders - trained, disciplined and experienced in mapping, navigation and search & rescue operations. Our ability to integrate, communicate and organise, combined with agility and independence provides unprecedented access to remote areas often encountered in search situations.

With specialised equipment and a dedication to the cause AMSAR provides valuable support to other Emergency Services.

AMSAR's capabilities
Our aim is to assist Emergency Services with search and rescue operations on land through the specialised skills of our volunteers, and the organisation of our teams. Further details about the various tasks and functions we perform are available HERE.

AMSAR - Australian Motorcycle Search and Rescue - is a non-profit organisation consisting of dedicated volunteers who are skilled in mapcraft, navigation, communications, first aid, search & rescue and riding motorcycles in difficult terrain. We are responsible, mature people who value the environment and care for others, and can reliably integrate with other Emergency Services where required.
